What’s your background?

I was born and raised in the Ligonier Valley. I graduated from Ligonier Valley High School and graduated with a B.S. from Slippery Rock University.

What do you like most about your job in customer service?

Working with customers is always a new adventure. Each day you learn so much. It makes it nice after all of these years, to still have the same customers. I have watched their children grow up and get homes of their own. We have seen customers move away and come back. We try to treat everyone as if they are a long-time friend.

What do you like most working for Smith?

Smith Propane and Oil has been an exceptional company to work for. We have never once been too big or too busy to deal with a customer, to help a customer, or to listen to a customer need. The employees here go above and beyond their own job descriptions to make sure needs are met. We all come from different walks of life, but you know that you can always rely on each other to get the job done.

What makes Smith a good company to work for?

The people, hands down. This company has some of the hardest working people. The ownership and management recognizes and rewards employees for their service. It is a company that is reputable and has made a name for itself.

Why do you think customers should choose Smith Propane and Oil?

People should choose Smith because we treat you as a person, not just another sale. We value our customers, we treat their homes with respect, and we treat them with respect. We are honest, safe, respectful, kind, considerate, and compassionate. We try to make sure that we help people who need help. We work with the local churches, The Salvation Army, the Area Agency on Aging, and the Liheap program to help customers that might otherwise not have heat.

Tell us about your interests outside of work. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new areas. I love to shop and create. I have been making signs for weddings and t-shirts for babies. I love to scrapbook and I’m learning how to can apple butter and pickles… anything that keeps the creative energy flowing.

What’s your favorite season? Activities?

My favorite season would have to be late summer or early fall. I enjoy high school football games, bonfires, spending time with friends, festivals… all of the fun things that happen this time of the year.

Would you like to share anything about your family? Do you have any pets?

I have a great family. My husband Chris and have two children, Savannah and Hayden. Both are seniors this year.  Savannah is at LUP and Hayden is at Ligonier Valley High School.  We have 2 cats, Cosmo and Crim, and a dog named Rufus.
